My husband and I were at the Poachers Pocket recently for a wee meal out. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and a cosy atmosphere. All staff were lovely... However, we ordered from the pub classics menu and although the food we got was very tasty, the portions were extremely small... As in, starter sized. I got the fish pie and the dish that it was in was about 4 inches in diameter if that, inclusive of the fish and mash on top. With 2 smalls bits of carrot and broccoli beside it. To me, it was not worth £12. My husband got the sausages and mash, again, very tasty, but small portion of food for the price.
