Reviewing a sandwich place can be tricky, but the service and the Brie in my sandwich were incredible. The lovely ladies who worked there were fantastic, and the Brie and cranberry sandwich was the best I've ever had. The Porch House is a beautiful preserved quite old building with modern comfort and great food. My husband and I enjoyed a delightful mackerel appetizer and duck breast and calves liver respectively, and found all to be delicious. the atmosphere is lovely and of course the ambience of the antiquity charming. Highly recommended!

Very nice ambience in old part of hotel. Good food and friendly service for evening meal. Reasonable choice and excellent deserts. Wine selection good at range of prices and qualities. We had the lamb roast which was particularly tasty with gravy and fresh green vegetables.
