The salmon Restaurant Week special was really great. Five stars for that.But like the last time we visited this warm and welcoming place, we are still wondering about the signature fried chicken. It certainly tastes good but it suffers from the excesses that so many restaurants seem to fall into nowadays when they are trying to be different or the biggest or the best. The batter into which they dip the chicken is so thick that, once it is deep fried, it transforms a fresh piece of chicken into a quarter inch thick deep fried roll with some chicken inside. The Post is ALWAYS a good experience. It seems like every time we go, someone on staff it's always someone different does a little something above what's expected to make our experience enjoyable. The consistency of their exceptional service I believe is no accident, and reflects great leadership and an infectious love for creating an uncommonly experiential dining visit. I always leave with a longing to be a restauranteur someday.This time, it was somebody from the bar who dropped off our drinks. The service was excellent although we arrived early they made an effort to seat us as soon as we got there. The waiter was attentive but not annoying. Very good.We sat outside, which was fine. It is an area of the parking lot that has been separated off and covered with a tarp. We preferred being outside because of Covid.The food was great classic fried chicken though GF flour, which I appreciated with good fries and excellent veggie sides. Portions are big enough to have some take home leftover. Also good cocktails.We really enjoyed the evening and we will definitely go back again
Menu is all changed! And not enough people working. First of all, our reservation was “double booked” so we had to wait. We were seated for almost minutes without being asked for our drink order. When he took our drink order, I asked for waters which didn’t come until I asked a second time when our food came out. I got the chicken and waffles which I’ve had before many times half the portion and none of the presentationmixture of flavors. It looked like it was all just thrown on the plate

We love their fried chicken, and making it Nashville hot really kicks it up a notch. This is our favorite place for chicken and waffles in town. My husband loves their chicken tenders, definitely one of his faves in town as well. We have already made this one of our local regular spots
I was expecting more. The chicken was hot, but it wasn’t freshly cooked chicken. The price is ridiculous, it’s not a fair price at all..... but if you like fried chicken I would recommend Popeyes or Chester Chicken from a truck stop. The price tag doesn’t match the Food
The fried chicken at this place is LEGIT, as are the sides, biscuits and waffles. This was a great place for Easter dinner with the family.
Their talented chefs elevate the cuisine above standard bar food. Coupled with the excellent inhouse brewed beer, this place is a winner
