Actual rating: 4.5/5 Sensational dinner that totally lived up to all the positivity I had been hearing from friends Very laid back, homestyle ambience with no unnecessary frills and a comfortable nostalgic touch. The waitstaff were approachable, super friendly, down to earth and had a great sense of humour. They helped us order an exquisite set of plates: falafels, the mixed platter and the hot fish. The gravy on that hot fish was to die for (so badly want the recipe for this the fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were crispier and tastier than the usual. Beautifully cooked, moist meat skewers with great char on the outside, plus silky smooth hommus and delicious baba ganoush...read mor...

I'm sorry we didn't think about making photos. we had a reservation at the prophet on Saturday night. because of the weather we called and advised that we would not eat, but instead collect takeaway. at ordering (for 3) I also asked myself to order pita bread. as the order over $100, 152 ca) they would deliver the pita brot free. when the order was opened, eating was far below standard. the 6 lamm kebabs were unusable as they were so overcooked at the rande of the incineration. the falafel was under standard and the so-called free pita was a bag of supermarket tortilla wraps that just went in the. the most frustrating thing is that we can't even call to complain and give them...read more

I ordered the baked kibbeh. Usually I am completely open to try new dishes and will normally eat 3 or so times a week. that was absolutely disgusting. I don't remember the last time I ate something that was so disgusting. the baked kibbeh was incredibly dry. the whole water had been removed from the meat that made it not only incredibly dry, but also condensed the taste to be incredibly exaggerated. it was like eating a terrible tasting powder. I don't come back here in a moment.

Absolutely no complaints at all about this place. The felafels were delicious and my main course was equally good. Massive serves which meant I easily got two complete meals from one order. Be careful not to over order the serves are quite big. Delicious middle eastern food I must go back and try the meat platter.
