We had a great lunch at this restaurant. We weren't sure if it would be open on New Year's Eve, but we decided to give it a try and we were pleasantly surprised. Although it wasn't as busy as usual, the food arrived quickly after we ordered. The manager, Mo, was always bustling around clearing tables and chatting with customers, making us feel like part of the family. They were still playing Christmas songs and had beautiful decorations up, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Despite the cold weather outside, the restaurant was cozy and inviting. This small restaurant on the High Street is a great find. However, we arrived at 11:45am and were looking forward to trying their highly recommended breakfast. Unfortunately, we were kept waiting at our table for so long that by the time we were ready to order, we were informed that breakfast service had already ended at 12 noon. Despite our initial disappointment, we ended up choosing other dishes from the menu which were beautifully presented and came in generous portions.
Absolutely lovely , what a lovely warm welcome we received when we went for breakfast after staying over the road in the Bear , staff were polite ,friendly and professional, breakfast was well cooked , excellent quality and served in good time , able to take the dog which for us is a big bonus . Fabulous building , spotlessly clean and well cared for , it made the overnight stay even better , thank you .
We have had enjoyable meals at this restaurant in the past, so we decided to go for lunch on my birthday. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food this time. The baked potato was not fresh and the ham was lackluster. We're not sure what has changed, but the quality has definitely declined since our last visits.
