We chose to have lunch at the Queen Vic on the wildest, wettest autumn day possible and we couldn't have chosen better. The pies are amazing! real proper homemade pies, made with shortcrust pastry and accompanied by gravy in lovely traditional little jugs.. it could have been a little thicker and darker, but tasted great). The chorizo and white bean stew was really good too. The desserts (dark chocolate brownie with caramel sauce, or warm cinnamon bun with cream cheese frosting) were both fantastic. We loved the atmospheric Victorian decor, and were impressed by the service from the friendly waiter. Our thanks to him and the chef for a really great lunch.

had to give bad reviews, but that was really incredible. ordered 3 lunch vegan roasts however was nice. two chickens were very underboiled and we sent them back. they came back seriously red, so we asked for a takeaway box so we can cook them home. politically asked if the chef was another to be normal and was not told, but he has a really bad day today. no offer of refund, kerl behind the bar began to be angry we had politely complained. should have suspected that there was a reason that they had a table free on Mother's Day ....

started with 4 coks and a limonade. all apartment as water of conduct. 1 of them had only discovered a floating hairball as the ice melted. 5 Sunday roast, they would think out of 5 people you would say that was ok or nice, but no, reheated kartoffels. under boiled veg, terrible yorkshire puddings, all bathed in the most horrific tasting engraving ever. 80 pounds down. the teaching has learned when the only people are there, there is a good reason why.

brilliant evening in the queen vic. the pub was carefully and atmospheric divided into different sitting areas, so we felt completely free from covided care with online drinks and delivered to the table. the personal was friendly, the atmosphere and the decoration were and the drink selection was huge real ales and a huge selection of gins and mixers. the Christmas tree is worth it alone. recommend a visit.
