My first visit to the Railway Inn was a disappointment. The website did not reflect the reality of the place. While it would be suitable for families, the open plan layout, lack of intimacy, and the presence of Sky Sports on screens made it unsuitable for our needs. After just one drink, we decided to leave. Additionally, the cask beer I ordered was sour and undrinkable, yet we were still charged for it. Overall, this place is not one we will be returning to in the future.
The waitress had a poor understanding of the menu. The chips were burnt, the bread for the prawn sandwich was stale, and the chicken in the winter salad was overcooked.
Lovely meal with friends. Called on spec and although busy were welcomed. Good choices on the menu, good service and enjoyable food
Absolutely lovely meal , very welcoming and very dog friendly!! We highly recommend this smashing pub .
