While out for a leisurely bike ride on a beautiful October day, we decided to stop at this popular cafe. Unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. We had to wait a long time for our food and drinks to arrive. When they did, my partner's teacake was decent but thinly buttered, and my miners lunch was missing the promised pork pie and came with dry, thick bread instead of the chunky bread advertised. Additionally, the butter on the bread had black bits in it, which the server thought was normal. When I expressed my disappointment, I was informed that the pork pie was not good enough to serve and was replaced with ham and cheese without my consent. I decided to reject the meal a...

After having to clear a table myself and waiting nearly half an hour for food I actually laugh when they brought some of it out. The large cod and chips is a packaged box piece of fish which are 4 for £3. And at £13 just not worth the price. I had the miners lunch which they had substituted a pork pie for more ham (which was full of gristle) The tortillas were stale the cheese were pre packed slices and the chunky bread was a cheap thick slice of white bread. You can’t ask for salad without onion (which I do not like). My sons dragon burger was a little better but and extra £3 for a bit of chilli chutney again extortionate, his girlfriend panini was the only thing that was ok but again £9 yo...
After a mountain biking session, I arrived at the restaurant only to be told there would be a 30 minute wait for food. I decided to cycle back to the mountain biking trails, had a few runs on the pump track, and then went back to the restaurant after about 30 minutes to wait. After waiting an additional 30 minutes, I went up to inquire about the delay (waiting on the chips). My meal was finally served another 10 minutes later, a total of 70 minutes after placing my order. Despite the fact that the restaurant was only one third full during our visit, the service was incredibly slow. One person in our group asked for a glass of water, which took 40 minutes to be brought to the table. I am givi...
After popping over to the Silver Mountain Experience opposite (also well worth a trip! , for a tour around the Victorian Mine, I thought it would be nice to pop over the road, to have some food. It was my understanding, that after a brief hiatus, the Red Kite Cafe has reopened with new owners, and has been completely revamped! Modern and trendy decor, friendly staff and great customer service! The food was great value for money and the cafe itself was busy on the day I visited, yet food arrived in a timely manner! The views surrounding the cafe are amazing (the Welsh mountains so it’s a nice setting to have some lunch with outdoor seating areas. Toilets are kept clean, and so is the cafe its... After being closed for 12 months. Always paid a visit here on way past for breakfast. And the cafe has had a full Revamp.looks lovely and friendly polite staff.the Red kite breakfast was just enough and options to add more if preferred. Was so tasty and fair priced considering all the overheads.well done.
We stopped at this restaurant during our journey as it was the only place around. The food was good, but I was disappointed that they don't serve an all-day breakfast. They need to make sure there is enough cutlery and napkins on the tables, and that there are enough toilet rolls in the restrooms.
I was looking forward to stopping here for breakfast on our way to new quay as we had done on previous visits however I was gutted to find they had stopped serving breakfast at 11.30 as opposed to the usual all day. Ruined my holiday
