Decent table in the corner of the conservatory. Table for 4 on a Saturday lunchtime in early December. Starters took an absolute age to arrive. No comment on that from the staff. I had the crab cakes. They were like 3 burnt tiny pellets sourced from a catering supplier ready made. Main course steak was cooked to medium rare as requested. However the sirloin was not remotely tender and totally lacked seasoning. The onion ring was decent but the chips were frozen so not sure how that fits with the description on the menu. I raised the issue of the burnt crab cakes with the chap that took the plates away and the only response was he'd tell the chef. Booked this on the back of the Google reviews...
Amazing food with a brilliant atmosphere. Myself and the family thoroughly enjoyed a get together for a Sunday roast. The food was genuinely show stopping. We all had a variety of different meals including the pork belly, roast beef and chicken. The chicken wings for our starter were beautiful and flavourful. Can’t wait to come again next week! The best pub I have ever been to. The staff is absolutely amazing, the food is perfect, the wine was so lovely! This pub is so cosy and welcoming. I'll definitely come back here. I have to mention octopus and beef burger what a heaven on earth! The octopus was so tender and tasty, beef burger was the best I ever had. Portions are massive! Definitely worth of visiting. Always loads of choice here. I respond symptomatically with the slightest contamination- I have always been totally fine here. Great to be able To have a large range of options including chips and battered things as there is gf fryer. Big portions so don’t eat a big lunch beforehand!

Came here for a family meal. Was very surprised to see I could have a burger with a bun! Was absolutely delicious. Also had a couple of gluten free desserts. Food standards are excellent. Will definitely come again
