The Red Lion - Table reservation

I rarely post reviews, but I had a disappointing experience at lunch with a special offer for two meals for approximately £15.00. We sat at a table by the amazing fireplace, but sadly, the food did not meet expectations. I ordered the hunters chicken, but half of the chips were cold and the chicken had gone cold as well. When the chicken was replaced, it was dry and overcooked, with reused bacon that made the bbq sauce and bacon indistinguishable and dried up. I was so hungry that I just ate what I could. There was no checkback to see if everything was okay. As a Greeneking friends and family member, I am used to visiting many of their pubs and hotels, and this experience was disappointing....

I hadn't been to this restaurant since last year and had heard that it had declined in quality. However, I can honestly say that the food was delicious and served quickly. Sam, who was working at the bar, was fantastic and served our food with excellence. My friends and I had a lot to catch up on, but once the food arrived, we all stopped talking and enjoyed our meal. We had a great time during our visit and really enjoyed the experience.

I went to this restaurant with my family on Wednesday and had the fish and chips, which were delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the place was clean and organized.

really helpful staff, according to Kovid rules. great food served. will be back safely if they could add the card payments.

Nice staff. Food was quick and decent quality for the price. Good Co-vid systems in place.
