We don 't live locally but when in town we like to visit this Wetherspoons. It is one of the few we 've been to which actually has a themed carpet love it! We also love the decor on the stage level looking back towards the pub. They have also made the most of the small outside area with a well designed beer garden. Not sure why people complain about the food it is cheap and cheerful, includes a drink, usually served promptly and generally good value for money. The highlight of this trip however was when my husband visited the lavatory and heard an unusual background noise from one of the cubicles. Several other gents were using the facility and glancing across at each other puzzled. Suddenly...
We were visiting Gloucester and the area for a short break. On our wonder around we saw The Regal. We thought we'd stop off for a drink. The tables were sticky and there were some tables that still had glasses and plates from previous guests. We ordered drinks via the app that took a while to be brought to us. When they arrived, my wine glass has lipstick on it and my partner's beer had sedament in it. We wanted a snack, so ordered the nachos. They must have used the Bitton of the bvag as they were all small broken pieces. I would give this Whetherspons another chance, however after having a walk by the docks, there's another one there thst looks much better.
This bustling Wetherspoon pub is located in the city center and is clearly popular, but it is not the best in the chain. The interior looks worn out and could use some tender loving care. We both ordered the mixed grill, but the meat was fatty and gristly. We have had better meals at other Wetherspoons. As the night went on, some unsavory characters seemed to be attracted to the place, which made us uncomfortable and reluctant to stay longer. We will not be coming back to this establishment.
I visited this restaurant on the 19th of August during a quiet Saturday afternoon. I had planned to order lunch for my group but changed my mind after witnessing kitchen staff handling food with their bare hands, including sprinkling cheese on a salad. I observed several plates being served to different tables without the use of utensils or gloves, posing a risk of cross-contamination. This unhygienic practice needs to be addressed immediately. As a result, I decided not to order any food.

I got my cup filled with a hot drink and waited at the table for a Breakfast it arrived 7 mins later I started to tuck in the undercooked meal had obviously been standing a few minutes, the bacon was cold so was the egg and the toast was also cold and not browned enough.This made my Wetherspoon experience very lacklustre and my drink got cool too.
The Wetherspoon REGAL was something like a typical theme-restaurant from the States. It was clearly a “chain” restaurant. There was no discernible table service. I went to the bar to order a grilled chicken breast (which was huge and acceptable) and a Leffe Blonde, which is a beer, not a blonde. And the L e f f e. was excellent.
Had a very good experience. The waiter Mark was incredibly friendly, professional and informative about the menu options. We normally have trouble choosing because our daughter is severely allergic to peanuts and my husband is a pescatarian but Mark knew EVERYTHING about the menu. Thanks again Mark!
Decent Wetherspoons a old cinema with a special carpet we also had to smile at king Kong I was served quickly by the friendly young lady table was clean and the food tasty and good value for money the gents toilets need a refurb though

To be honest the food is good for the price. The service is second to none and the staff are very pleasant and friendly. One of the best Witherspoon's I have been in and it's down to the people who work there
After shopping and before catching the bus home, I stopped in for breakfast at this restaurant. I really enjoyed my meal and the service was excellent.
