This place has a melbourne atmosphere, with open roof, green wall and large copper beer tanks. A susky little spot and you also serve a decent pub grub! Had the Parma, the Saute and a point, and the Arancini balls, which are sooooo good! Love this place!
I really loved the space at Taylors. I took the alternate stairs and didn't know what to expect. Loved the greenery and open air. Food options were really disappointing though, the hommous and lavosh plate was generally unimpressive and no better than what one can dish up at home. crumbs-au.com
Wonderful rooftop bar! It does become extremely crowded after hours but nonetheless the atmosphere is extremely lively. I will definitely consider returning for after work drinks since it's so conveniently located! ningjaeats.tumblr.com
Beloved Friday night drinks at Taylor. The room is amazing. Many cool works of art from local artists. Friendly staff, great music, quality menu. I would definitely recommend Taylor for a few drinks and some unit plates. Book a table now
Should be a French-influenced style of the bar / pub. While I did not get a whole French feeling from the offered food (mixture), was still a good place to bring an atmosphere to winch while I was a few drinks
Enjoy your meal. We ordered equity plates of Falafels, lamb balls and chicken skewers with pineapple. Must say the food was delicious, but very overpriced for what you get when the portions are quite small.
One evening I was walking back from the Opera House along Pitt Street and I came across this pub that seemed to have a really narrow entrance, but opened up

It was my first -- and last -- blackberry schnapps! The Republic is a small space without having the style to be considered boutique or wine bar-ish.
