I called in here while waiting to pick up my mother from the bus station. To be fair I never expected much but this place was far worse that I ever could have guessed. If I was the manager of this establishment I would be so proud its a lovely size pub and if I was manager of this bar my standards would be much higher. To say this place is grotty is a understatement I can honestly say it is one of the most dirty pubs I have ever been in, the manager should be checking the cleanliness of his pub but its clear to see by the state of this place he or she doesn't give a hoot. I have been in many Wetherspoon's and normally you can expect good beer and basic but properly cooked and served food, this venue was the worst I have experienced. On our first visit a basic beer showing as being available wasn't and the one that was suggested as similar was awful. The gents toilets were taped up and all males had to use the single wheelchair accessable one. On our second visit the following evening, the gents toilets were still taped up so unusable. The chicken dish we both wanted wasn't available and the burger my wife had as a substitute had no onion rings, she was told that she had been given more chips as a substitute, but only when it was delivered to the table. Staff good but needed another person on the shift. Place is adequate. Food,Eggs were not warm enough or gone cold,Plenty sausage but didn't like them although cooked enough. Only 1 mushroom top,1 small piece of tomato and not enough beans. Not keen on the hash. Toast OK but not enough butter. Would not have this again. Poor value. Place is probably good for a cheaper pint or cup of coffee while the special is on until 17th Jan. Menu says Alcoholic drink included with some meals but does not say which alcoholic drinks are included so not transparent.

Asked for vegetarian breakfast and two coffee did not have vegan butter which was ok. They had no cups washed so had to wait when went to the machine were told we not paid for the hots drinks asked how much I paid then the manager said something like for Christ sake we do mistake. When it came the baked beans were cold asked for hot beans. When she came to clean the table told us we was barred. After the service we got were not coming back.
I was in this pub last evening some absolutely horrific behaviour from drunk patrons, abusing some young girls- threatening and abusing them and using racist slurs. I complained to the bouncers and they did NOTHING. One of the bouncers said “well that’s their problem- they shouldn’t be in our country anyway” wow! I’ve reported the matter to the local police in Middlesbrough. This pub is a racist hell hole run by drunks and bigots.
Not a bad place to eat and drink on a budget. I really don't get the people that have left really bad reviews here. You get what you pay for. Yeah the place is a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but the food and drink is reasonably priced and not bad at all for what you pay. I like how you can order on the app and drink away on the cheap.
Me and my firend visited this pub while ago we got 2 cocktails I went to gentd a lad took 1 of cocktails of the table my firend she give thqt back he told her to F off we mangled it to staff they didn't do any thing. 1 Came in for my daughters birthday lunch, staff were unfriendly food was horrible, my daughter got a chicken tikka and her nan bread was soaked in grease, and when asked i asked if they had any salt and vinegar I was told go get it yourself of the bar. Defo will not be back
