This is a great proper British pub! Loved the atmosphere and the people working there. Mandy was very friendly and engaging. Loved the pizzas on Thursday night. It’s a great place to chill after a day out and a great place for the local people to come after work. Lots of history! Loved the ciders. Going to miss the place until we come back. Cheers!!!
Daughter's birthday, visiting for a quality pint and their wonderful Jaffa orange chocolate bun. Great place, great welcome, lovely staff, great raised decking at the back which is very peaceful with views They do great food also. Cheese toasties are tremendous! A hidden gem near the foot of the Tor. Five stars from us.
A lovely old pub with great atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Unfortunately not serving food on a Saturday lunchtime. Had a limited range of rolls, which we eat. Pity about the food as a great place
This was a delightful step back into a bygone era. Old oak beams and inglenook fireplaces just made it so different. Service was as great as the food. So so good and everyone so friendly.
