My step son (age 11) decided that his new years resolution would be to visit more pubs. I am not going to complain- I love a pub. Even more so if they are dog friendly. Rafa was made to feel very welcome here, and even offered a bowl of water! As pubs go, it is nothing special, but you can get a good cold pint. They have TV if Skysports floats your boat. And they have a pool table- the lovely bar made kindly set my step son and husband up on this. The kitchen was closed, and sadly the barmaid said this had been the case since covid. But there are plans to reopen the kitchen, and I will visit again for sure when it does. It's ideally located close to Rainham Marshes, where the RSPB centre is...

Great little hotel with a magnificent view of the Thames, the best value for money anyone could ever hope for. Clean, functional and a good bed. Everything you want in a hotel. Not for the snob or those who look down their noses and would pay double the money for some dirty, grotty B&B in the middle of nowhere. Run down of course and needing some sprucing up, but this has not affected the service or the value offered. The room I stayed in (Room 9) was clean. The bedding was well laundered and free WiFi and free parking came as cherries on the cake. I would thoroughly recommend this and on value, I would charge more than double what I just paid. I stayed here as all other hotels on the area w...
I’m not sure what to say. Arrived at the destination. The place is out dated and extremely run down the rooms are disgusting. I was placed in the Village and the room was not worth the price I paid I wouldn’t even pay 20.00. I could see the receptionist wanted to help and so upgraded me to their deluxe. Which wasn't that much better there was a looked door in my room which kinda creeped me out. The bed was disgusting. It’s a shame the staff are lovely but the state of the rooms let them down. I will not be returning and I refused to eat their because of the state of the rooms I was wondering if standards were across the board. I actually ate at the premier Inn near by. I did actually try to...
I stayed here over 12 months ago and was booked in for a return visit this week. The food was poor, certainly not as good as my previous visit. I had a pizza which was overloaded with cheese and not much toppings. Reasonable prices but no thing much else good to say. Nice beer garden but was ruined by a big group of youngsters drinking, shouting and swearing which made for an intimidating atmosphere. Book a table now
We called in for a Sunday lunch after a long walk with our dog. They were kind enough to let our dog in and we ordered a child's Sunday lunch for him and the cook was very kind coming out of the kitchen to check what she should take off the dinner to make it suitable for him. The lunch was average but it was the welcome we got and the kindness of the staff that really stood out.
Where to start! firstly the position of this hotel it is right on the river beautiful location. We ordered sharing platter, this was disappointing to say the least. It definitely needs investment.I used to visit this hotel in the past, and it has definitely gone downhill. The barman was pleasant but other than that I did not enjoy the experience.Such a lovely venue but neglected.
We were asked to stay in the building annexed onto the main hotel block. Very disappointed the bedding wasnt clean you had a general feel of being in a hostel. Checked out after the first night hotel manager apologised conceding the hotel is need of major refurbisment
it did serve its purpose. I did receive a very friendly and helpful welcome . Small town with people rather kind and nicer . Away from london for few days did do me surprisingly well and i feel so relieved of stress and headache of minging and moaining londoners Book a table now
