I don’t often write reviews, and I typically wouldn’t give a 5-star rating, but this place truly deserves it. The lump crab cake special with pork belly and shrimp was outstanding, and the slaw and salad were also fantastic. The hospitality was excellent, making the drive completely worthwhile. Additionally, they catered an event for 15 people, and the food was cooked to perfection, which is impressive considering they were preparing shrimp and chicken using sterno!
We ordered two of their Thursday night specials: mahi mahi with polenta and grilled shrimp with green rice. Both dishes were incredible! The fish was exceptionally tender and juicy, and it was my first time trying polenta—I'm definitely hooked! The shrimp and rice were absolutely perfect; I finished every bite. We can’t wait to return for more delicious food and dining experiences.
Don't be deceived by the shabby appearance of the building; this place serves exceptional food. In fact, it’s seriously GREAT food. Each dish is creative and DELICIOUS! I haven't encountered a mediocre meal yet. I highly recommend their crab cakes (available on Fridays), fish tacos, pork tower (pulled pork tostada), and one of the best burgers you'll ever taste!
We had a great date night on Saturday! Sat outside listening to music and just enjoying adult time. Food is amazing and our server was perfect. Very attentive, never had to ask for anything and she was super sweet. Great family place as well. The kids can play outside while adults hang out. Also have an outdoor bar which is nice. Perfect date night place with the wifey. The crab cakes are the best in the New Orleans area, easily. The front room is perfect for a date night with your wife or you can go to the Shackyard with the kidlets. They can play while you eat! We've been there at least 15 times and have always had good service and outstanding food.
Perfect restaurant for our family with five boys. My fish sandwich was amazing. Everyone cleaned there plates. Service was awesome, restaurant was so clean. The food was so good that everybody behaved for a total hour. Can't wait to go back: my boys said it was the best wings they've ever had.
Went to see my husband and his band play in the Shackyard and boy was I impressed. Great menu, friendly staff, and cool backyard with great live music. We'll definitely be back!
