A rustic yet chic Australian style café is how I would describe The Yard. With open air indoor seating as well as an Alfresco area out the back, this café provides the perfect setting to catch up with friends and family over a perfectly poached egg. Actually, all their breakfast options are pretty awesome and also served at lunchtime – which makes the Ninja prettyyyyy happy! Enough about breakfast…I almost forgot to mention (in my opinion) their pièce de résistance, the tacos! Oh and don’t forget to grab yourself an Allpress coffee to satisfy that caffeine craving.
The Shack was not what I had expected. There was a breakfast menu, I just missed the 11:30 am cut off but alas no lunch menu. I had hoped to treat myself to a super healthy and tasty lunch but was not enticed by the obviously popular acai bowls, smoothies or the prepacked, made in house meals in the fridge. I settled for a chai tea and a bliss ball. Both served by a very friendly young lady and both were delicious. While the Shack did not tick my boxes today it is a very popular spot for locals and offers a nice variety in smoothies and juices.
The coffee is great, the menu is interesting, and the service is super friendly and attentive. We love the kids playground in the back. We have come for breakfast, lunch, and coffee multiple times, so it must be pretty good because we always show our support with our repeat visits.
The cafe is small but big on selection, it's one of the most popular businesses in the Nobby Beach precinct. Juices, smoothies, breakfasts, lunches and take away clean healthy meals. I recommend either the Acai or Pitaya superfood bowl to take away and eat it at the beach

I like going to Yard for both general breakfast meet ups and for business meetings. Coffee is great and food delicious. Plenty of space too which is great
