I had a disappointing experience with the staff at this restaurant. After fleeing Fort Myers Beach due to Hurricane Ian, my partner and I were looking for a nice place to relax. As I walked through the establishment with my 12-pound puppy, a staff member suddenly yelled at me about having a dog and ushered us towards the exit. I had never been to this restaurant before, and I didn’t see any signs indicating a no-pet policy. When I explained that my dog, Yogi, is a service dog in training, I felt that the staff member could have handled the situation much more kindly. Overall, it was a very rude experience.
This restaurant is exactly what my wife and I look for. Jeff is the most amazing bartender at Clearwater Beach. While tourists might overlook this spot, we, as locals, love coming back to the Shipwreck anytime. My wife and I enjoyed an unforgettable night! The drinks and service were not just phenomenal, but the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the area. I can't wait to return and spend time with Jeff and the other staff. Five stars all the way!
We discovered this hidden gem right across from the beach, and we absolutely loved it! Dennis is a fantastic entertainer and bartender—he’s hilarious! We had an amazing time. Dennis, we’ll definitely be returning! They offer great drinks, specials, and cocktails. If you're particularly nice, you might just get a delightful surprise. It added a fun twist to an otherwise cloudy afternoon in Clearwater Beach!
Because this place is further down the road than many of the other bars and restaurants it probably doesn't have the same level of foot traffic but it's worth stopping to grab some good drinks with their own unique twist (some come with an ice pop stuck in them). The have numerous pool tables and they were open/free when we were there. It has a fun decor and the staff was very friendly.

Fun little dive with good drinks and a stiff pour. If you don?t have the spirit of a rum loving pirate this may not be the place for you. This place is extremely fun and the drinks were good. We went twice and both times had maybe a bit too much fun. If you love the sound of bells tip well. ????????????
Went back to the Shipwreck for the first time in years and it’s still awesome. We go the banana flavored mixed drink and they were delicious. I loved the laser light and popsicle inside. Friendly staff and it’s just a comfortable environment to hang out in to play some pool.
JEFF IS AMAZING! This place is a MUST when you come to Clearwater. From the service to the drinks. You won?t want to Miss this place. And the shot they?re known for ? it?s truly something else! we came for the drinks stayed for the bartender (jeff). He?s EXCELLENT!
I absolutely love this place! The bartender, Dustin, was fantastic and made sure our drinks were always topped off. Plus, they have three billiard tables and stay open late!
