If youre kinda new to the plaza, this place may be a little weird to find i had to ask around a little bit how to locate it because it wasnt clear through the parking lot. Its called a side bar for a really good reason. ahaha. To get here from the parking lot, if you see the crab restaurant at the corner, the side bar is just around the corner. You can go through the crab restaurant because they are connected or you can go straight through the side bar entrance. if youre up for a game of billiard, you can bring your own stick or you can use your own. next time i want to bring my own so i can dust off my skill and finally take my gift out and have some fun with it. This bar is a fantastic place to visit on weekends. It isn’t too crowded, and they have a wide variety of food options. The atmosphere is cozy and laid-back, making it a great spot for watching sports on multiple TVs. In the evenings, the vibe changes as the DJ starts mixing, and the energy picks up with dancing. As someone who loves playing pool, I really appreciate that they have a well-maintained Valley table with Simonis cloth—and the best part? Playing pool is free! The restrooms are kept clean, and there’s ample parking available at all times. I’d like to give a special shoutout to the owner, Johnny, and his hardworking staff for creating such a gem of a bar right in my neighborhood.
This place definitely gives off a dive bar atmosphere. They were showing football, which was a nice touch, but there was also a minor scuffle during my visit. Most of the drink options were bottled beers, and every time I placed an order, the bartender had to go to the back, so I didn't get to see any liquor bottles. The second bartender was quite neat and attentive. Overall, however, I probably wouldn’t come back.
This place is definitely a bit of a dive, but they do show the game. We mostly served ourselves beer since we had to go to the bartender in the back every time, so I didn't actually see any liquor bottles. The upper level of the establishment was quite clean, though. First time here I was surprised to see it connected to the restaurant not sure if they were affiliated or not. But the drinks are reasonably priced the bartenders were nice and service was good. We were able to order food from the shirmp place. Overall would come again if I wanted to get a few drinks with a friend
This place truly feels like home. For the past nine years, John has always made us feel like family. The Sidebar has been our second home, and I can't wait to come back!
