I was famished today around 4 PM, so I called to place an order at The Similans. I had walked past before but never really noticed it there by Toscanini's. My order was ready when I got there, and the friendly lady made paying a breeze. I ordered yellow curry with chicken, steamed rice, and spring rolls (the regular kind with chicken). I was walking around looking for a sunny spot to sit down but was too hungry, so I started eating the spring rolls while I was walking They were great! Perfectly crunchy on the outside but nice and moist on the inside. The yellow curry was solid, and the pineapples really brightened up the dish. I'll be back and next time will try a dish with some spice to it!
First time trying this place out. It?s an easy convenient location right by the galleria so there?s plenty of parking. I got the beef satay which was delicious and tender along with chicken drunken noodles. I?m not sure if it always comes as spicy as it did but it was definitely way spicier than any other drunken noodle I?ve ever had. Fully satisfied with my meal and appetizer. Both were full of flavor and I have zero complaints. Will try some of their other speciality dishes next time around.
Decent Thai food overall but definitely recommend going for their curries.Tried their green curry with beef, spicy baby ribs, and the brown sugar Hawaiian fried rice, and the green curry was my favorite. Curry was very creamy and I liked the slight hint of coconut. However, the ribs and the fried rice were disappointing considering their price. Fried rice really lacked the seafood flavor that I was looking for.
The food was delicious and very filling. I loved the pineapple fried rice. The crab Rangoons had a little too much onion for my taste but they did taste good. The stuffed wings were not the best but the sauce was very good. I loved the food and will be coming back. Wish the service was a little faster other wise I would've gave them 5 stars
