It was much different than the first time I visited and seems to have gone downhill. The service was great, but something happened to the place since I was there last. We got stained, printed menus with very limited options. The 3 of us were seated upstairs in a corner at a table that was really for 2 (even though we'd had reservations). The ambience upstairs was depressing. I chose the restaurant due to the party's various dietary requirements but many of the vegan options were missing from the now very limited menu, still no nuts though which was great and hard to find. We have eaten at The Smith a couple of times before our last visit and enjoyed the experience. Our latest visit (Mother's Day) was disappointing. Our first waitress was not welcoming and appeared annoyed when we asked for menus. We were not interested in having the buffet. The lunch was good but am not sure why meals arrived at different times, even identical meals. Some of the party were almost finished when other meals arrived. Not returning to The Smith.
My experience at Smith was great when it first opened in 2016, with slow food but excellent service and high-quality food. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has significantly declined since then. We had to get a $70 discount on our bill due to issues with the food. The prices are too high for the poor quality, with wine prices being over 3 times retail. I would recommend saving your money and going elsewhere. I do not plan on returning to Smith.
Excellent menu one of the best I've found that has so many options for people with dietary restrictions. Our group had gluten and dairy sensitivities and vegan and vegetarianii needs and others who just wanted a good meal. There was something for everyone. The food was excellent and service was attentive. We hadn't expected such a broad but delicious offering.
