The Special - Table reservation

I was expecting much better based on the reviews and word of mouth. My first warning should have been the age of the customers when i walked in.Everything was very bland. The fried shrimp was very mushy. The fried chicken was nice and moist, but lacked seasoning The side salad came with giant slices of cucumber, and a huge, rock hard chunk of very underripe, inedible tomato. I got the wrong salad dressing, but since the salad was so sad, it wasn't worth complaining about.

Outstanding homemade tasting food. I had a Reuben, a common enough sandwich, but mine was dripping with melted cheese and sauerkraut on buttery rye. My daughter had roast beef and potatoes that tasted just like Grandma's. The prices were reasonable, something to brag about in this day and age, and and the servings were more than adequate. I would highly recommend this restaurant when you have a desire for good, old-fashioned food.

great eating and wonderful waiting staff. they were really busy when we went, but were still in a position to quickly put the people relatiw. the food was on the spot and it was worth waiting a little longer as I had a skill menu. it is worth visiting the trip as my nephew even loved the cinnamon rolls.

In from Texas for the CWS and stopped here for breakfast our second day here. Phenomenal! Had to come again the next day. This place has fantastic breakfast and super friendly and efficient wait staff. If you’re ever in the area do yourself a favor and try them!

very recommended! great service. excellent breakfast. cookies and gravy were the best. just on the wallet.
