I visited The Spotted Cow for Sunday Lunch with some friends. The pub was very busy, yet the staff led me to the table without delay. I chose the roast beef meal and a very large plate appeared with a huge Yorkshire, and plenty of...meat. Then the vegetables arrived. My dessert was sticky toffee pudding. Again very nice. The six of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the staff team made the experience even better. Thank you Spotted Cow, we will be back.
I was in the Spotted Cow and feeling hungry, asked for the shoulder of Lamb. When it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised. The Lamb was very gently cooked, pink in the middle and rolled. Very tender and it was served with Dieppoise potatoes, delicately...sliced and some cabbage. I was still hungry and so accepted a dessert of home-made sticky toffee pudding. Top marks to the Spotted Cow! Very reasonably priced too. I shall certainly be returning.
The best Sunday lunch I have eaten in a while, 14 horsey girls celebrating a friends birthday. I had the Roast Beef perfectly cooked still pink fabulous horse radish, beautiful bowls of veg, the best parsnips and roast potatoes and the yorkie yum, a lovely...extra bowl of beautiful gravy. Finished with the best sticky toffee pudding light as a feather, gorgeous toffee sauce and ice cream beautifully presented will be back there shortly.
we went to the spotted cow for the first time after we had heard that it had been taken over and were very pleasantly surprised! in the pub is beautifully decorated in a rustic style. the staff is friendly and welcoming and eating is really pub grub. to a very high standard. the menu is limited, which is good to me. many for vegans. we will definitely go back. Book a table now
what a sound. beautiful village pub. from the minute they go, they are made to feel welcome. great host and excellent friendly staff. eating was amazing. I would recommend the hunch satay for beginners. very large portions. bonus last night. the live band. will definitely return very soon.
Thank you guys for a lovely meal.Wife had the steak,cooked perfectly and I had fish and chips and we had a side of onion rings.. could not fault anything.. perfectly cooked..great staff and we've lived in the area for 6 years and never been here.We...will be back..
