A group of 8 friends and I were in search of a place to have tea after a sunny day in the hills. We were delighted to come across The Stag! The food was enjoyed by everyone and the staff were wonderful. Two of us are vegan and the chef kindly prepared some delicious gnocchi with a flavorful tomato sauce and vegetables. We were very impressed and would highly recommend this dish, which I believe everyone would enjoy, whether vegan or not. Additionally, I would recommend trying the 'hand cut chips' as they were very tasty, chunky, and came in a generous portion. Thank you to the team at The Stag for fueling us up for the journey back home.
First time visit, and will definitely be back soon, food was lovely, both had haggis starters, I had steak and ale pie and it was packed with meat , and the vegetables were lovely especially the carrots would love to know what the seasoning was on them please , husband had chicken , service was great and friendly, we were the only ones in at that time so it was a little cold in the room, but it didn't put us off Service: Dine in
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was great, with our food arriving within 10 minutes of ordering. I will definitely be returning. There is free car parking located 100 meters from the restaurant, with a large car park available. This is a great spot for a lunchtime meal, with prices ranging from £30-40 per person.

I found the restaurant a bit chilly as there was no heating on. I dined in for dinner and the price per person was between £20-30. The food and service both received a rating of 4 out of 5, as did the atmosphere. I recommend trying the Fish and Chips.
