We stopped on the way to Huntingdon, for a light lunch. Lovely pub/restaurant. We were just after usual finishing time for lunch but one of the staff said she should be able to get the chef to feed us! We chose turkey stuffing, and halloumi onion chutney, both open on sourbread. Plus chips! They came beautifully presented with pea shoots and leaves, and the turkey had delicious dripping gravy to pour over. Both were superb and although open were easy to eat as the bread was crispy and soft perfect! But, in addition, the chips were delicious! Home made and probably 2 or 3 times fried. Without doubt as good as the best pub sandwiches we 've ever had! The service was great, always with a smile....
We received a warm and friendly welcome at this charming pub and restaurant. The food was excellent, but the service could use some improvement. We ordered wine when our main courses arrived, but it only came after we had finished our meal, which was a bit disappointing. I also noticed someone going to the bar instead of using the waitstaff. It could benefit from more attentive drink servers, but I can't fault the food—it was truly delicious.
We walked in around 3:30 PM without a reservation and were promptly seated. The staff were incredibly friendly. We ordered a sharing platter that included roast beef, pork, and turkey. The roasted potatoes were absolutely amazing, as was the gravy. The vegetables, especially the cauliflower cheese, were delicious. I would definitely return!
We held a private function here recently. The staff were very professional from start to finish. The food was great, the room was perfect (well kept and decorated) and the outdoor area is brilliant for guests who smoke but still want to be part of the party. I would highly recommend this venue as a perfect old English country pub.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is fantastic. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I was pleasantly surprised to find a complete and delicious menu tailored for me. The chef even created a special potato dish just for me. Thank you!
Whether it be the baked potato with tuna or the lamb shank, the food was top notch, great beer, the reception and service was excellent, lots of smiles from the staff on hand,very relaxing, will definitely visit again, and very soon.
When I am in the area I always make it a point to enjoy the Pub. The special are always great as well as the staff. And I never miss my pint of Black Sheep bitter!
