my daughter and I went to wetherspoons yesterday in stamford. I was appalled by the bad attitude of the personal to customers. everyone looked bad and didn't want to be there or work. I could not believe that a chain of public houses could run out. foods! we were only offered fish and chips or a vegan burger.i asked for a waterglass courteous, and all the workers started coughing and looking at any other, as if I had asked for something alien! the water made me have an anaphylaxis from the water tank. the barmaid served a glass of wine in a dirty glass. after drinking a swallow weeping, my throat began to close off an anaphylaxis episode with which cloud the weinglas was dirty. we had an hour to kill before we went to another place and just came out of the cold for one. the pub doesn't look so big, but if you're inside, it's a big room. it was very busy. although it was only, but we found sitting, got our drinks and sucked in the atmosphere. Although we were not many around us and that eating looked good. also the operational forces that could quickly decrease empty tables for the next customers. all in all a pleasant experience and I would like to return if we find ourselves in this part of the city.
love wetherspoons normally, beautiful building and soothing food and drinks prices and quality. sadly, this seems to go downhill. no focus on keeping the place clean, dirty floors, dirty tables, staff just chatting. they wonder when the kitchen is as dirty and untidy as. the restaurant is!
we went there for lunch, as families adults and children) staff very helpful in assisting with table set-up, special mention to our waiter Kyle. great customer service. Tasty, affordable menu in big portions. busy place, great atmosphere!
