"Was catching ferry early next morning, so was a very cheap and enjoyable stop over as had driven 250 miles on my motorbike. Lovely warm welcome, friendly staff and locals, nice clean room and good beer! Going to stay there every time I visit Dublin!"

My sister and I both decided to order the burger with prawns and fries from the menu, and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the meal turned out to be! The deep-fried prawns were some of the best we had ever tasted, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The burger was also fantastic. However, what truly made our lunch experience exceptional was the wonderful service provided by the waitress. She was helpful, genuine, and friendly, truly a standout employee of the pub. I hope that this excellent establishment can weather the challenges presented by the current situation. Holyhead is lucky to have such a great pub in town!

My husband and I stayed at the Stanley Arms while searching for a flat in Anglesey. The house hunt took longer than we anticipated, so we had to extend our stay. Luckily, this friendly place had no problem accommodating us! Not only were the rooms perfect - spacious with en suite bathrooms, TVs, and all other amenities - but downstairs there was also a pub restaurant serving delicious pub grub and drinks. The location was ideal, right in the town center yet surprisingly quiet.

I paid a very low price for a single room at this hotel. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was quiet, located in the center of town, and had its own bathroom. While it may not have been spotlessly clean, it was still a good option for a budget-friendly stopover in Holyhead. They will be serving food soon after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, and it is also a good value for the money.

Stopped off here for lunch on our way back to Porthmadog from visiting RSPB South Stacks. We were made welcome and chose the fish and chips, which was delicious. Fresh plaice in a light batter, good chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce all included in the price, which was very reasonable. Not the smartest decor but friendly and efficient. Good place for a tasty meal.
