first visit here went to see a live music while supporting a friend and had a great time! the show was made by a wonderful collaborative group called the rock project lots of unforgettable songs, much to sing and lots of engagement with the audience. bar snacks and drinks were nice and the personal was brilliant all night, (may definitely recommend the hummus, as well as the skin on frries.) had no chance to taste the baked tasty at the bar, but they looked delicious. must be over again soon and very interested in further upcoming live music events. having the show in the garden area was a brilliant step in this weather!
beautiful pub and very friendly. the garden is small but well maintained. toilets were clean. when we visited, there were also cakes for sale, but that could have been associated with the jubilee instead of a regular thing. Good choice of drinks and snacks, has not tried the food, so can not comment.
eating was very bad. a young girl wasn't sure if the weeping, or more likely they had. one of us was handed over a knife leaf first. we waited for half an hour to whisper that were only ice creams. the bill was overpriced for what we had.
Nice little feature on the way up to the top of Box Hill. Great spot for picking wild garlic around May time!
