"I made a reservation for a meal, but my husband preferred dining inside even though the outside space was beautiful. The interior was also great, with a large fireplace almost the size of a room. The staff were very welcoming and dog-friendly, even giving treats and lots of attention to our dog, Polly. The food was delicious, with a good selection of vegetarian options that made it hard to choose. The portions were large, and it was a shame we couldn't finish it all."

The restaurant has a nice, spacious car park and garden area, conveniently located near bus stops and a train station just a short distance away. The staff are efficient, friendly, and enjoy chatting with customers in the traditional, rustic pub setting with plenty of wooden accents. The menu is currently limited to pub classics, but they plan to introduce a more diverse menu with more interesting dishes soon. We enjoyed the generous portion sizes and look forward to returning once the new menu is available. Overall, it is a charming village pub that offers good value for the money.
