Great Classic Pub grub meal last night for my Dads birthday. The greeting was lovely and the staff were friendly throughout. Menu is varied and the Specials board was good. I had the homemade pie which was delicious aswell as the mash and veg. Other choices from our party was Chicken and Chorizo pasta which again was fresh and plentiful. Homemade lasagna and Homemade Hunters Chicken. We also had starters where 2 had the fresh cooked shell on prawns with chilli and garlic and I had the homemade Spicy tomato soup all served with hot baguettes. Will return again
We started with drinks but then decided to order some food. I asked a server in the restaurant, but was told no even though only 2 tables were being used and none were reserved. My friend then tried to order bar food, but was told they were too busy, even though it was clear that they weren't. We won't be returning to this restaurant.
We are from out of town and visiting for the weekend. It can be a bit intimidating walking into a country pub, but The Swan was very welcoming. Despite being a large family with kids, we did not feel like a bother. The staff was very attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. If you happen to be in Clare, give it a try!
A party of 25 of us had booked for lunch today. The landlord offered us a very nice menu in advance so that we could pre-order starters and main courses. We took over the dining room and all felt The Swan did us proud. Excellent service, tasty, well-presented food in a nicely ventilated room on a very hot day.

Once again, The Swan did not disappoint. I went for a Christmas meal with friends and the food was fantastic. They are very accommodating to vegans and those who are gluten-free, which was important as we had a vegan in our group. We had a great night with a lovely atmosphere. Well done, Team Swan!
Great service, delicious and very well presented dishes and good value. Staff were very friendly and helpful and served drinks immediately and the food was beautifully prepared, everything served in a reasonable time. Relaxing atmosphere ideal for our anniversary celebration.
Really lovely pub/restaurant : pleasant surprise after trying the other local avian restaurant the night before( big disappointment). Extensive menu, great value for money, great service : recommend.
Great place, Landlord and all staff were great... The food however ... was amazing, cooked to perfection my stomach was very pleased... Definitely will return.... Well done The Swan
