While in Illinois I was looking for a breakfast place and The Sweet Savory Spot appeared on my Yelp app. I was a bit skeptical when I looked at the pictures on the heel, but I was ready to give him a shot. I ordered the salmon LVR and a chocolate chip cookie. I don't apologize, probably one of the best Salmon breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. At first I didn't know what to expect when I ordered the salmon LVR since I got it, it just looked like an egg breakfast sandwich. But when I took a bite, I saw that the salmon was in the eggs, and the herbal cream cheese worked perfectly with the saltiness of the smoked salmon and the flockiness of the agitator. I can't wait to return to this hidden gem of a restaurant. Even though I live in town, I happened to come across this family-owned small restaurant with a bakery and was blown away by the amazing food. We tried the wolf, Biscuits Gravy, Hausburger, Breakfast Potatoes, Donut, and Cake Pops, and everything was absolutely delicious! I am already looking forward to trying more of their tasty dishes. The staff was very friendly and the cozy atmosphere made it perfect for a quick bite. It's a hole in the wall type of place, but they really know how to make great food. They also offer baked treats for the kids.
The Diner Burger is my favorite burger in the suburbs ? significantly better than burgers I?ve had at Pierce, Cadence, That Burger Joint, ? This is blasphemous but this burger saves me a trip into the city for Au Cheval (and is half the price). Also, the breakfast sandwich with tomato bacon jam is the best and more novel breakfast sandwich I?ve ever had. The carnie toss on the weekends is also AMAZING. HUGE and delicious cinnamon roll; Wedge salad is yummy and massive; fries are fire; sweet potato salad wasn?t for me but had TONS of flavor. OBSESSED!
This is our favorite place in Westmont!! We love their breakfast (sandwiches, all the bakery items, and breakfast potatoes). I?ve been meaning to write a review for a long time but always eat the food before taking a photo. We?ve also eaten a lot of their lunch and dinner items and always have loved them (burgers, soups, and sandwiches)! My daughter this morning started scolding my wife because she thought she was finishing her breakfast potatoes with cheese which is her favorite breakfast item anywhere! My wife was enjoying their carnie toss!

I recently started working next door, so I decided to try this restaurant. The day before, I had an amazing apple slice from here. Today, I had a simple burger cooked well-done with cheese, pickles, special sauce (dijonaise), and caramelized onions. It was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend this place. The owners work the register and grill, and they are very friendly. I came home from work feeling satisfied and happy. Thank you.
We were in search of a quick breakfast spot while on our way from Chicago and came across Sweet and Savory, which had excellent reviews and affordable prices. We made the decision to stop and were certainly not let down. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and our meals were served promptly. It exceeded our expectations.
Best burger ? within 500 miles. I sat down with my juicy burger and fries (and brownie! only to notice I forgot to get a drink. Sh*t. I went up and noticed they have a $10 min on cc, so as I was going to go sit down, they came over and gave me the lemonade for free. Nice people! I?ll be back but bringing the fam next time
This is such a delightful little place people are super welcoming and the food is ALL homemade (from the ketchup to the sandwiches). Their breakfast sandwiches are sooo good and flavorful, with a variety of options. Will definitely be visiting again!!
