The place closed and then charged ownership. I still prefer it over a lot of other places. The new owner has kept the specialities but he is nowhere as attentive as the original owner. The pie we order everywhere year for my sister's birthday this year the almonds on top were almost burnt and the pastry cream recipe has changed too. We also got some pastries assortments and they were overbaked, thus dry. I hope the new owner picks up the pace and brings back the old quality this place was known for.
Sigo sin entender, después de bastante tiempo veraneando en Ares como se puede escoger de camareros a gente tan mal preparada, lenta y con pocas ganas de trabajar. Es un mal endémico en buena parte de la hostelería en Ares. El descanso los lunes en plena vorágine de turistas los meses de verano no se entiende.
Exquisito chocolate como a mí me gusta, espeso, negro y no muy dulce. Los churros también muy ricos. Tienen variedades de chocolates con esencias, para otra otra ocasión. Batidos, infusiones ... Local nuevo y en el mismo paseo de la playa. Para repetir sin duda.
Está muy bien el chocolate con churros y los granizados. Su ubicación y su terraza están muy bien. Tienen helados, batidos,....Los camareros, en general, amables.
