This USED to be one of the best pubs in Lancaster. I came in this evening, they 've absolutely ruined it. All the quirks, great beer and lively atmosphere have been stripped away, what 's left is a soul-less overpriced, awful shambles. The 'live ' music, is so loud you can 't hold a conversation, the beers are now very basic and every fond memory of what the tap House used to be, crashed and burned faster than the rancid pint I gave up on :

Absolutely disgusted to see the bar staff serving a very drunk man , double double shots , over over , they were asked by his wife not to serve any more they just laughed carried on ..... Sat 21st Oct ... If the manager had been in I don't believe this would if happend ....

Average pub, nothing bad about the place or particularly good, friendly barman however. Not sure the name tap house is justified had 2 real ales on when I visited and a selection of the usual macro brewery keg beers.

A relaxing place to meet friends after work, shopping and sightseeing. A historic city centre venue renowned for it's warm welcome, good selection of ales, regular live music and a must for those visiting the city. Book a table now

One of the best real ale pubs in Lancaster. A fantastic selection of tap and craft ales. Although they don't provide meals, they do offer amazing sharing platters made from local produce. I highly recommend

One street back from main drag is The Tap House. Vibrant bar offering lots of real ales aswell as bottles and cans. Staff seemed friendly and efficient. Really enjoyed our visit.

Apparently this place to have a much better selection but the taps and fridges weren't particularly captivating. Perhaps it's in need of a name change or a some revitalising.

Good, though small, selection of beer but it's as friendly as ever and we were treated to some good music to go with the nice beer. Book a table now

Great pub with a choice of good real ales. Good seating areas and where else can you turn up and just have a pie an a pint
