We seek this hostelry out each time we visit. It has loads of character, a range of interesting ales from across the country and also a range of interesting and friendly customers. We don't have dogs ourselves but enjoy meeting the various canines who drop in with their humans. The food looks good, although we have not dined here. In truth we aren't sure about the gluten free options for those visiting reliable feedback on this score would be great. Certainly worthy of putting on your list if visiting Lancaster. It's not too far from the centre.
We visited the Three Mariners for dinner on NYE on the off chance they could seat us (our plans to be abroad had changed at the last minute) and we were lucky enough to get the 1 free table. It's clealy a popular place and we found out why. The food was absolutely delicious There was so much for your money as well, and it was all cooked perfectly despite there being a plateful. My partner had the chicken and beef roast and I had the fish chips. Staff were friendly and attentive despite being very busy. Would highly recommend!
I made a reservation for a table for 9 people, and more guests ended up joining us. I was really impressed that all of our meals arrived at the same time, which is not something you see very often nowadays. The hotpot was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. The rich gravy was full of flavor and the lamb was tender. The restaurant always has a great selection of ales and the bar staff is friendly and welcoming. I always feel at home in this cozy, traditional inn.
The food, beers, and wine at this restaurant are fantastic. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is friendly. This is our fourth visit and we love it here. We have dined with friends, couples, and just the two of us, and it never disappoints. Definitely give them a try!

A great little pub on the edge of town, close to the castle. Recently refurbished and an excellent job they did too. Really friendly staff, good selection of drinks and generously portioned food offering. An absolute must for anyone visiting Lancaster, local or tourist.
We reserved a table for Father's Day, following recommendations on Google. Overall, we had a good time. The Three Mariners provided us with an excellent level of customer service, a healthy choice of food and drinks, and they are also dog friendly.
Proper quality English pub for food and drinks. Large selection of real ales all which I had were well kept and drank well. Food here was excellent had the pie and the hotpot with a side of chips. Shame there aren’t more places like this around.
I went to this restaurant today with my son and mom. It was a great discovery with delicious food. The hotpot was amazing, and the service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place. The building is also beautiful.

Lovely place, worth seeking out. Usually lovely dogs. Wine is good, limited beer selection after a festive run in it, but fair, what my husband had he enjoyed....
Very lovely pub with a great atmosphere and the bartender Finn was very welcoming and friendly and very ready to help superb service!
