After I recently moved to west yorkshire, today I visited the piece hall in halifax for the first time in three years and stumbled on this place for a solo lunch. it is very unusual for me, but I had a demand for a good hamburger, I think it must have been the result of 3 consecutive vegetarian days. they serve here a very good 8.0 oz burger, fleshy, juicy and simply served in a beautiful broth roll (not brioche, grateful, for a change) with salat, tomato red tweebel pretty good fry for £10, which was extremely good value. when I knew what I wanted, I didn't really pay much attention to the rest of the menu, but everything that went too close looked good. service was extremely efficient, war...
the wise for a Sunday roast. all four had the beef. about 15 pounds. everything on the plate was well cooked with a good and tasteful veg selection and a super yorkshire pud. the bevel was lush. it washed with a delicate pint of estrella store. it was very busy, but the service was friendly and efficient. only complain are two unisex toilets; insufficient for a place this size plus our women unlike sharing with men. I don't blame them. restaurant in the right corner of the piece hall.
Lovely restaurant in the heart of Halifax' cultural quarter inside the Piece Hall. Excellent food selection, cosy atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Service was fast, and it was great to see a very young front of house team learning the ropes even if they weren't always sure how to serve the wine! Definitely recommended.
wow, great place stopped here for an early evening meal during the remembrance of the city. Delicious eating, very friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere and prices were also good. would they look again for this restaurant if we were back in the local environment.
