Simply superb. We chose this pub restaurant due to curb appel. It 's a beautiful old cottage with plenty of the original beams and atmosphere. I found the staff to be very friendly. I ordered an Otter Ale, I sipped it, looked at it. As I put it back on my table the landlady placed another one in front of me and removed mine. It looked a little cloudy ,she said. I want to ensure you enjoy your ale . Very impressed as I have always had to go to the bar and point it out. It was a refreshing change. We placed our order for or meal, and as always, you hope it will be OK. Our meals promptly arrived and got placed in front of us. The four of us all had different meals and could not belive how much...
We went for a spur of the moment evening out. Heard that the Travellers had changed. We were not disappointed. Sirloin cooked perfectly with chips and a great mushroom. Bean burger home made. Scallops for starters with Chorizo. Home made salmon haddock fishcake with salad (homemade dressing) mains and what more can I say. . a restaurant that not only actually makes chocolate fondants in house but serves them perfectly. Ooooozing perfect. Thank you to all at the Travellers. Great food and service. We'll be back.
first visit and it was really good. looks great. the eating was amazing and I couldn't have any of the three courses we had (because I ate too much really, but it was so good). the staff were really friendly and helpful, they have checked us many times in the evening. fiona (the gaffa, as my man called them) one of them would have been more heavy on the steak pee, but if they don't ask that they don't get. amazing,
