We are local residents and had heard great things about this restaurant, so we decided to try their Christmas set meal, which we pre-ordered to minimize any potential issues. The starters were delicious, but we felt that the portion of crispy noodles was too large for an appetizer. Additionally, we noticed that the smoked salmon and game terrine were served with the wrong type of bread – the terrine came with soft brown bread while the salmon was paired with grilled ciabatta, which seemed like a mistake. The cumberland gel seemed more like a garnish rather than an integral part of the dish, with minimal impact. Our 16-year-old enjoyed the Sirloin mains, but I felt that there was too much pot...
Fantastic meal. We had the spring rolls and the potato and spring onion fritters both were absolutely delicious and a very generous portion. Followed up with a roast, had both meats and they were both great cooked perfectly and served with delicious sides. Not too much on the plate to be over faced but the perfect amount. Will definitely be back and will certainly come during the week too to try the evening menu. Lovely friendly staff and a perfect atmosphere. Busy but not overcrowded and a lovely fire that was kept topped up. Will be highly recommending.
We took friends visiting from Ireland to lunch at this lovely, cosy pub/restaurant on the most bleak, cold, wet of winter days and were given a warm welcome, a table by a roaring fire and the most lovely food. I would say it was one of the best meals we have had in quite some time. Very friendly, welcoming staff. We will locally and will definitely be going back. Highly recommend. Vegetarian options: A good selection. Parking: Very easy to park in dedicated parking opposite.
Superb. We took friends over from Ireland to lunch here on a cold, wet, bleak winters day and was given a warm welcome, a table by a roaring fire and one of the nicest meals have had in a long time. The food was superb, the staff friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere cozy and warm. We live quite nearby so will definitely be taking friends and family here in the future. Highly recommend.

We went for the 3 course Christmas menu meal which we had pre-ordered. It was absolutely fantastic. The service was brilliant, and they were busy. The food was definitely way above the standard of good pub food. All the dishes were presented beautifully, tasted delicious, and were cooked to perfection. Thank you Turkey inn. We want some more!
The atmosphere at this restaurant was charming and festive, with great open fires. We tried the Christmas menu and it was fantastic. The noodle and prawn starter was exceptional, as were the Turkey and Venison main courses. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas evening!

We met family here for pre Christmas lunch. Everything was perfect from the warm welcome, overall service, food and drink. They struck a great balance between dining, locals drinking and even a pool table. We will definitely visit again.
