I’ve been to various Peanut locations many times but this one continues to be the best. The atmosphere is inviting in the older building and exposed brick. The waiters and bartenders are always great and can answer any questions you have. However, the food is always on point. I rotate between the grilled chicken sandwich, chicken tender basket, and carnitas nachos. My fiancé will get the three wings and fries with blue cheese, the peanut burger, or the Cuban. We've been coming here for years. This past weekend, we had a friend visiting from out of town and we were excited to take her to our favorite sports bar to watch the eurocup finals. Seated in the bar area, we watched as 7 other tables us asked the manager, Josh, to turn on the game audio, rather than the country music radio that was on. He refused, rudely, many times and for no apparent reason. Our server was very sweet about the whole thing but was clearly frustrated because so many of her tables were asking to turn on the audio instead of some random music. It was so disappointing. In the end a bunch of us moved down the street to Maloney's to watch the game.
We specifically went to the Peanut to watch Euro 2024 Final. The manager refused to change the audio and 3 tables left as a result. Multiple requests were made and country music was played instead despite several tables discussing with the manager. Food was alright. Someone in our party asked for extra crispy wings but apparently the fryer was being cleaned. The wedge salad was also unavailable for his order. His meal was comped but we left at halftime due to the manager’s poor attitude and unwillingness to change the audio despite 60% plus of the bar watching the game.
We ordered the Cajun sandwich and Tiger wings, and both were really good. The patio area is also small but very nice as it's shaded from the sun. Service is horrible. We walked in and were stared at but not greeted. Found a hostess and asked if we just find our own seat and she rudely responded without even looking up. We found a table in the mist of empty, dirty tables. We sat for about 10 minutes waiting on someone to bring a menu, offer us a water or something. Several servers just kept walking past our table without acknowledging us, ending up leaving and going elsewhere.
The food was good but the staff are a very unprofessional, rude, judgmental, and immature such a sad thing because the cooks are amazing but their bartenders and staff suck!
Can it get better than these wings? I'd like to try their other food but their wings are just too good.
