The only minor issue we encountered was some noise from below, especially for those who need to rise early. However, it wasn’t a significant problem, so we have no complaints. As for concerns about dust or an allegedly rude staff member mentioned in previous reviews, it's important to remember that this isn't a war zone – let's be grateful for what we have.
Additionally, we were served by a lovely young girl with blonde hair and glasses who was both beautiful and efficient. Overall, a great experience – thank you!
I didn’t stay in one of the rooms, however, my family and I ate a meal here and we had a wonderful experience! we entered with seven people and we were in a rush, the staff understood that we needed to finish our meal quickly as we had a tour to attend and they accommodated us so well. They took our orders quickly and cheerfully, likewise our food come out so fast and were just excellent. Over all a great place with even better staff! would highly recommend:
I stopped by for a quick pint while my partner was trying to calm her nerves before visiting York Dungeon. Now that the rivers have returned to their usual levels, all the seating is set up outside. The staff came out to take our orders, so we didn't even need to get up from our seats. The service was fast and efficient, and the view was lovely—what more could we ask for?
The location of this hotel is fantastic! It's just a 2-minute walk to the center. The room was decent, offering tea and coffee facilities, a wardrobe with a mirror, and plenty of storage space. It could have been cleaner, but overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

The restaurant is in a fantastic riverside location with a friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The pub food is of good quality, making it exactly what we were looking for.
great place to breakfast at the river. sunny days are fantastic to watch people on the river. If you're here for about 11 years, you'll get a better seat.
Lovely pub on the water front with out door seating .. quiete yet not to out the way . Food looked good . We just had a beer and cold drink
