I got my friend there for a birthday contract. the man at the reception was not very friendly. looks like he didn't want to be there. I wanted to take a place in the reception area and bring us drinks menu. we ordered two tees. they came to our small table in the reception area without teaspoon or sugar just a little milkpot. we then became the main menu we didn't want as we wanted the afternoon menu. He brought this and we said we wanted the afternoon. then he told us we have to book this in advance! We were only given the more expensive restaurant menu for lunch on arrival, not the lunch menu. We ordered the fish platter anf the vegetarian platter, neither of which came with the listed components such as dips, crudités, pate. What was provided was good but poor value for money. The floor was grubby, there was a door to the kitchen that permanently squeaked and the guy who was serving us was not particularly attentive.
We were celebrating my husband's birthday and our wedding anniversary. I am so glad I chose the Wharfhouse, which I had been meaning to try for some time, as my husband was bowled over. He thought it was the best steak he had ever eaten and one of the very best meals ever. He is so hard to please when dining out that I was thrilled and we will definitely return.
The food was delicious, but the portions were disappointingly small. The atmosphere felt more like a cafe than a cozy restaurant. It was surprising to see only a few people there on a Saturday night, but it's understandable given the high prices for such small portion sizes.

We had a quiet dining experience at the restaurant, lacking atmosphere, but the food and service were excellent. I would definitely recommend it and plan to return in the future.
Nice view on the harbor, staff friendly and pro, the food was really good. I had the slow cooked beef. The sides were also delicious. 22P for 2 courses.
I'd forgotten how great the Tapas at the olive shed was until we stumbled upon it today while taking a walk round the harbour.
Food is sensational! Best fillet steak ever! Beautiful dishes and so delicious!
