The outdoor bar and pub garden are fantastic, very good service and really reasonable prices on drinks. Stayed the night in one of the double rooms £85 for a Saturday night lovely room, well set out and well decorated. Very clean. The only thing that let the room down was there was only one set of towels, and they were standard George at Asda. £85 for a room and that doesn't include breakfast you could stretch to some nicer towels and a set per person staying. Maybe some nice soaps, nice body lotions available. A disposable shower cap. It's the little things that really make a room and people do expect it for that price.

We came here tonight with the intentions of moving on into the local high street. We enjoyed it so much here that we stayed put. The staff are so welcoming and lovely. The drinks prices are fair and they also serve food. In addition to this there was also a large screen for sports to be shown. There is a lovely beer garden with furniture. The Wheatsheaf also host frequent comedy nights. I have also been to one of these and I highly recommend £14 seated and £12 standing). This pub isn’t owned by any of the big corporations so it is very much like your typical local pub. Definitely our new regular haunt!

Dropped in here as part of a pub crawl. Great selection of beers, including Neck Oil, which one of our party greatly enjoyed. Lovely beer garden, with rattan sofas, chairs and benches with cushions etc. On the downside its on a main road so you do get a bit of traffic noise when sitting in the beer garden, but this did not detract from our enjoyment. Shame I don't live in the area, as if I did this would become my local. Simon.

My friend and I stayed there overnight, and we couldn't recommend this place more! The pub is lovely and has a large outdoor area. The food is excellent, even the vegetarian options. Bonus point for the owner's cute dog! The rooms were brand new (had just been refurbished), clean and very comfortable. Towels, shampoo, coffee tea amenities, and TV were included. A clear 10 10! Just a lovely little pub full of friendly local who are happy to chat to you. The food is yummy and you are always left full. Does show live sports and can get very busy which creates a nice buzz. Well worth a visit

Nice olde world friendly pub. Had steak ale pudding with chips, swede and carrot. Uncomplicated comfort food, very filling as portion size was large.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Service was a little slow. We had the burger, fish and veggie roast. All were delicious! Good prices too.
