I met a relative who lives in the nearby village for lunch at this restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere of the restaurant still has a traditional pub feel, even though most people come here for the food. There are two connected rooms, with one room having carpeting and feeling more like a dining room with the main bar, and the other room to the left having an open wood burner, large settees, and more of a lounge feel. The menu offers traditional pub fare at a reasonable price, and all four dishes we ordered were very good.
