Now I've been twice in seven days. The food, service, beer and atmosphere are all first class. Don't just drive past, but call in and experience this well run and pleasant venue. Have passed this pub on a number of occasions and thought looks good must try it . Finally stopped off for lunch with family and certainly not disappointed. Very pleasant venue with an extensive menu, good range of vegetarian and vegan options. The food was well cooked and presented, served in a timely manner and both tasty and reasonably priced. Will certainly be re visiting. Should also mention the staff who were very pleasant and friendly, efficient and attentive without being intrusive if I was running a venue these are the type of staff I would want working there! Recommended.
I returned to this restaurant today with my small dog for lunch. I ordered the half roast chicken with a choice of various sauces. The chicken was tasty, but what really impressed me were the vegetables, especially the courgettes which I usually do not enjoy. The service from the staff made me feel right at home. Thank you once again for a wonderful experience. It's amazing that we travel all the way from Watford just to dine at your pub. I highly recommend it. Thank you.
I’ve been wanting to visit for ages and today was the day! I came with a friend and my two dogs so we had a table in the bar. The menu is well marked out for gluten free options and as the waitress said “80% of the menu is either gf or can be adapted”. The waitress was very knowledgeable. The food and the service could not be faulted. I loved it! It’s a definite recommendation!!!

We really enjoyed the upscale food in this pub as well as the drink. The service was friendly and they happily provided bowls of water for our dogs. There is an extensive walking trail system you can use to access the pub, which was great. We can recommend the sea bass, the seafood pasta, the burgers, the pies. We liked it so much We ate there twice in 3 days!
Service was fantastic Thomas couldn’t have been any more attentive! Food was delicious, roast potatoes were a little hard but sunday lunch in general was very good! Desserts lovely cocktails delicious! Will definitely be back.
Had the sunday roasts, the food tasted like it had been microwaved, politely enquired to waitress that said hold on while I get the manager and never did, unfortunately won't be eating here again
Been a while since I had been here but didn’t disappoint. I had the turkey and mushroom pie which was excellent. Hot chocolate to finish also lovely. Will definitely be back.
