Most disappointed with our treatment at the Wheel this Saturday. I attended the Wheel to meet my son for lunch and drinks. He was initially refused drinks as the landlord decided that he was drunk. We were eventually served drinks and lunch before being asked to leave. We had both been drinking elsewhere before arriving yet we certainly were not drunk. There are many examples of their customers, etc having had far more to drink than us at the Wheel. Had the landlord listened to anything that I was telling him, he would have realized that my son was actually out of breathe from running to meet me. I am a gentleman in his mid 50's, not a trouble maker nor a stranger. I have supported this pub...
Visited after being recommended by my daughter fiance Newfoundland dog to find an excellent welcome. Suburb food and drink although it was close to last orders on brunch. No rush or anything. Darren all were excellent hosts .
a nice, cozy pub with friendly bar staff. dog-friendly also. a good selection of foods to appropriate trips
Really enjoyed it the meal was very good value staff very friendly defo go again
