Staff were very pleasant on arrival and attentive at the table. My partner had the McRib sandwich and didn’t enjoy it unfortunately. I had the fillet steak and asked for it medium and it came rare I still ate it as it was delicious. Just not my cooking preference! I also thought the sides for the steak were very measly would have been much better had it come with mushroom and tomato like the chateaubriand does.
This was our first visit to The Whippet Inn, although we’ve been coming to York at Christmas for years. What a place!! The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to York, without a doubt.
The team where very accomadating when our party size not only chaged but where delayed by traffic. The service and food where amazing, the wines stunning and ambience perfect.
