Absolutely disappointed beyond belief. Why even bother opening and advertising that they do food? We really should have walked straight back out the door upon entering. But we had read reviews and really wanted to try this place. The staff were disinterested. Pointed to a table where we were to sit for our evening meal. We were given what can only be described as filthy sticky pieces of paper that were supposed to represent a menu. The table was dirty and sticky with drink stains. Nevertheless we proceeded to order 3 main meals. Over an hour later we still had no food and not once did anyone come over to the table to explain why. The place was by no means busy. We visited the white hart for a birthday after months of wanting to visit. We had been here on many occasions for drinks but because of the cost we decided to wait for a special occasion to visit. We booked a table on a Sunday, however on arrival it was very quiet. We asked if we could sit in the conservatory which was empty apart from one table. We were refused and told to sit at a table by the bar. Which is fine but only one other family arrived at the premises In nearly two hours and nobody else sat in the conservatory so we were a bit confused why we were refused here as others were eating. Had an excellent roast at this pub. The service was outstanding and the place had a great vibe. We were even able to order our roasts over the phone when we booked the table at midday even though we weren’t going to eat until 18.00. I can thoroughly recommend.
Date night with my husband, greeted by friendly staff. Very attentive and very friendly throughout our visit. Food was amazing and delicious! Will definitely be going back!
