hardly a vegetarian selection and what I had was lukewarm and tasteless. none of the workers wore masks that particularly surprised me how most guests I saw do not mask when they went through the restaurant to the toilets etc. the young woman who served us was very pleasant and friendly, but I think we had luck from what I could observe. sad I will not recommend the white hard to anyone who is a shame, as in the deceased we have used it a lot,
a small irritation.: when it was a very wet boring day, I asked that the tealight on the table be illuminated. it was done grudgingly as “we don’t normally light the up to 5pm”. they cost 20p for me to buy so they need to be better. we got the impression that we were seen as something disturbing. then we waited for about 20 minutes for someone to take a dessert order. a rather disappointing lunch.
the greeting was excellent. the bar staff was also excellent. the waiter was polite and efficient. Unfortunately, the food was very fast served (so there is no complaining) cold. we all ordered Sunday roasts. we sent the tellers back and on their return they were not much warmer. the plates were obviously made in advance and kept warm. the atmosphere and the place were good.
Food was delicious, good range of vegetarian gluten free. Although the tablet showing allergy options didn't match the menu, staff were extremely helpful , delivered a personal service. Would definitely return as the pudding menu was excellent esp with so many gluten free options Book a table now
Warm friendly atmosphere serving delicious choice of Sunday roasts, including a nut roast. It offers open fires and a rustic with contemporary twist interior. Service was excellent with every request being met by smartly dressed, friendly staff.
There’s a very good atmosphere in the restaurant, the staff are cheery welcoming and attentive. The food is of a very good quality and there’s a good choice of options catering for all tastes.

This was our first “proper” meal out and we were not disappointed. The food, drink and service were all excellent. I’m glad I starved my self, so I could have all 3 courses. Book a table now
