Just arrived back from a two night stay at The White Lion and couldn’t praise it high enough. Our first time staying here and from the moment we arrived the staff were all so friendly and helpful couldn’t do enough for you. Lovely young lady shown us to our room which was in the courtyard behind the pub (room 7 it was really lovely, decor was great, bed was so comfortable and bathroom was a great size plus everywhere was spotlessly clean. Free WI FI during your stay is a big plus, room refreshments were a great variety too. A brochure of Hebden Bridge was a nice touch in the room as well. We spent 4 nights here and our room was comfortable and well furnished with a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and on the one evening we are here food was also good. Parking is a problem. There is no reserved parking for residents although when I requested a reservation due to my husband’s limited mobility one was provided unfortunately it was taken by someone else! However two members of staff were hugely helpful; one moved her car to provide a space and the other brought out one of the chefs to manouvre ours into the awkward space. One important point on our second day the room was not cleaned. When I queried this the lady I spoke to apologized but said the rooms were not usually...
Fabulous little pub. Location was excellent you could walk straight into the town with the added bonus of a small car park to the rear. We stayed in room 5 which was in the old part of the pub sloping floors etc which gave it character. The staff were excellent especially Lydia who even carried our bags to our room. Fabulous breakfast too. We had 2 evening meals in the pub which were equally good. Would definitely recommend a visit,
I've never been served a worse pint of Guinness in my life than in this pub! 1mm head wtf is going on?!? Avoid at all costs!!!
