I do not agree with the 4 plus stars for this pub / restaurant my friend and I booked for 4.30 tee. no one else in the whole opposite, but we sat on a small round table next to fire escape with the kitchen right behind. the staff went past us all the time. the beer batter fish was not very nice, in all chips were frozen rugged chips over boiled heated food. £14,50 everyone was a scandal. so not too great a time. the personal was very nice.
The food was outstanding, you certainly will not go hungry here, it was piping hot and very tasty, I have not had rice pudding that good since my mum made it when I was a little girl. If good home cooked food, restaurant quality, in...a friendly warm environment is what you want, this is definitely the place to go. 10 out of 10
the white lion is a quiet, old village pub, which is a few meters away from a busy main road. it serves to dine, cooked by a own chef not skin kitchen, but comfort eating curry, apple cake. not youthful, but welcome and neighbor.
tonight for the first time and will be back. the food was above all the gloomy excellent! the food was made home like the barktroganoff and flower cabbage soup. excellent service of donna along with excellent food. outstanding
