My family has been coming here sporadically for YEARS. It was my father's favorite Mexican restaurant. Honestly, there has never been a time of disappointment. Every menu item I've tried and over the past 30+ years I've tried a lot is tasty, fresh, and a belly filler. From the Olvera Street taquitos to the combination plates to the chimichanga to the tostada salads to the carnitas burritos....all super delicious. And the table salsa and chips are hands down better than any other Mexican style restaurant, even those that claim authenticity and longevity. I'm not sure if it's the simplicity of the salsa or some special ingredient but once you start eating it with the chips, it's very difficult...

Some years back a former co-worker took me to this place and I really enjoyed it but then forgot the name and location in the ensuing months and years....always wondered what place that was... Then today just looking around the general area of my work I saw The Whole Enchilada on Google Map and being that it's Taco Tuesday it sounded like a good place to give a try.... I arrive and it slowly dawns on me as I enter and am seated that this is that place I had wondered about for years. I was really excited to have found it again. I was not expecting a whole lot from this place- but wanted to give it a try to say that I did. And I was genuinely surprised. The enchilada was okay- I do wish they had an option for salsa verde. And although this was Americanized Mexican food, it was actually pretty good! The tamales tasted amazing, rice and beans were great, the what I call American style tacos hit the spot. This felt like a childhood 90s restaurant and gives nostalgia feels all the way. The pricing was a bit high, and the table service was nothing horrible, but nothing great. I would definitely return for the tamales and tacos!

Food isn't very good at all. No flavor no seasoning on a lot of the dishes we ordered. would not consider this Mexican food. Only thing that was good food wise was the chips and salsa. Service is good . Drinks are good .
